Bringing together people from all over the world to celebrate ‘Common Interests.’ From grand parades to secret jazz rooms, you could spend your whole life scratching the surface of this culture rich Heritage City. Interest

To tell a tale of common interest is to talk about all the ‘S*#!’ that we all have in common. In this humorous tone we embraced the city of New Orleans man hole cover as a secondary logo badge. This symbol is used tastefully throughout the collateral and menu design.

For Growth

When creating the Common Interest brand for Hotel Indigo their 2 requests were to celebrate New Orleans, and create a restaurant brand that could be used in multiple hotel locations. Common Interest was born in 2022 coming out of the post covid recession and has grown to be a popular parade destination.

Their private balconies and ballrooms book years in advance to celebrate all festival season. The restaurant is often the lifeblood of the hotel and in Common Interests case they are have a faster heartbeat than most hotel lobbies. The retro minimalism of the brand connects to the deep underground entertainment history of crescent city.

When creating way finding signage for the restaurant and windows, there were historical guidelines as well as parade and balcony restrictions. The almost shutter design of the linear circles allows all to see this celebrated space and fancy themselves sharing their own common interests.
