Gides is building a universally-accessible internet experience that anyone on earth can now create and share website-quality content from their phone, no matter who they are or where they live. And Newstream has been helping design along the way.

Gides is building a universally-accessible internet experience that anyone on earth can now create and share website-quality content from their phone, no matter who they are or where they live. And Newstream has been helping design along the way.
When marketing gides, Newstream faced the uphill battle about telling people what gides is. To say the least, describing what a complex app can do in a 15 second video or tiny banner ad can be a challenge. To accomplish the goal of branding and marketing the app we divided the campaigns in two. One that was more about brand/logo recognition, and the other to simply describe what you can make.
When marketing gides, Newstream faced the uphill battle about telling people what gides is. To say the least, describing what a complex app can do in a 15 second video or tiny banner ad can be a challenge. To accomplish the goal of branding and marketing the app we divided the campaigns in two. One that was more about brand/logo recognition, and the other to simply describe what you can make.
Creating the ‘Brand’ for gides was a treat. It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to design the next successful app that everyone in the world is using. To keep the concept pure we literally translated the social information directly into the logo icon. Continuing with the shapes found in the logo, we embraced the lines and ‘dots’ similar to the ‘i’ letter form to symbolize check points along the guided path. Much inspiration was taken from Massimo Vignelli’s NYC subway Maps, but we’ve pushed the concept to no limits with grids, colors, or shapes. Each gide is unique.
